Winter Skin Woes

Winter does have its benefits. We get the chance to curl up on the couch in our oversized hoodie, enjoy our favourite warm drinks, and hearty soups. We can wear our favourite super warm fluffy slippers and listen to the rain tap against our windows as we drift off to sleep after a long winter's day.
But the winter season can be a nightmare for our skin. The cold, dry air can make even the best skin look tight, irritated, and flaky. But with the right hydration and moisturization, you can keep your skin looking and feeling its best.
First, it's important to know the difference between hydration and moisturization. If your skin isn’t hydrated, it means it doesn't have enough water, and this is not always because you're not drinking enough water, but possibly because your skin can't hold onto it. Skin that lacks hydration can look dull, have wrinkles, and feel less bouncy. Any skin type, even oily or combination skin, can become dehydrated.
On the other hand, if skin lacks moisture, it means it doesn’t have enough oils or lipids. If your skin lacks these valuable oils or lipids, it can become flaky, red, or irritated.
To get great winter skin, you need to use products that both hydrate and moisturise. Our favourites are Janssen Cosmetics Super Hydrating Cream and Janssen Cosmetics Deep Xpress Moist Serum.
Give your skin the love it deserves this winter season, with skincare packed with moisture boosting ingredients, to help it look and feel its best.
As with any skincare, individual experiences may vary, and it's important to consider potential sensitivities or allergies. If you have specific skin concerns or conditions, consulting with a dermatologist or skincare professional is recommended to determine the best approach for your skincare routine.
